Women’s Health Services

Appalachian Mountain Community Health Centers welcomes the first Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Kaitlyn Breiten. She is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner with a passion for providing high-quality, evidence-based care for women. She trained at Vanderbilt University School of Nursing and, before joining AMCHC, practiced healthcare outside of Nashville, TN. She recently moved to Robbinsville and, while new to the community, she is no stranger to the mountains of WNC.

Through our Women's Health Services, our goal is to provide whole-person care by improving access to preventative care services and solving health challenges that exist for women in local communities. 

Our Women’s Health Services Include:

• Routine Gynecologic Exams

• Prescribe and manage birth control

• Test for sexually transmitted infections

• IUD insertion and removal

• Management of irregular bleeding in pre-and post-menopausal women

• Fertility consultations

• Pessary fitting and maintenance

Future services:

• Obstetric services including prenatal care

• OBGYN Ultrasound Exams
