Whole Person HealthCare for Everyone
Appalachian Mountain Community Health Centers (AMCHC) provides quality, affordable health services at six locations throughout Western North Carolina. We are proud to serve patients in Buncombe, Cherokee, Graham, and Jackson counties.
AMCHC is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). For you, that means we deliver timely, comprehensive, and quality health services to our most vulnerable and high-risk populations with dignity and respect – regardless of a person’s ability to pay. What makes us even more unique is that we integrate behavioral health (i.e., mental health services) into the primary care setting. Why not take care of the entire person - mind, body, and spirit - at one location, during one visit. We believe it's possible. We believe it's the right way to do health care.
PATIENT-CENTERED
From the time you walk through the door, through when we take vitals, address your concerns, and connect you to community resources, we embody care. We partner with you to help you stay well, knowing you are the expert in your own care.
WHOLE PERSON
Our services encompass individualized treatment, health education, and community assistance from a team of providers that include physicians, nurses, Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSWs), community health workers, and peer support specialists.
AFFORDABLE
AMCHC never turns away patients based on their ability to pay. We accept many major insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare. We also offer pricing discounts and sliding scale fees, based on a patient’s family size and income. Discount medications are also available. Restrictions apply.
MAKE AN APPOINTMENT
AMCHC receives HHS funding and has Federal PHS deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
